Steering wheels are unusually expensive. That being said I want the GT SPEC D shaped wheel in my Forester tomorrow

Oh I think I see a spider on your steering wheel. Let me get that for you.

I want the BOSS 302's alcentra steering wheel for my GT but it would require a lot of work to get the buttons swapped over.

That's purty.

Luckily mine is plug-and-play. I already swapped the sport wheel for an M3 wheel, but now the leather is getting worse for wear.

Is this portion Alcantara?

Yes - it's wrapped in Alcantara. The side are perforated leather. Since I drove an RS5 I've been wanting to feel a steering wheel with perforated leather again.

Nice! Love the perforated leather, too.
It's weird that the alcantara is in a place you'll likely not touch while driving. But damn, that's a nice looking wheel.

What exactly is this wheel?
I have the 3 Spoke version like what came in an M3 but I have never seen the bottom (4 and 8 o'clock position) of the wheel sculpted like that.

This is (or was) a stock E46 sport wheel with padding added to increase rim thickness as well as thumb padding and palm padding. The bottom half is wrapped in Alcantara and the leather has M stitching. Go to Ledermanz on eBay to look at the rest of their wheels for sale.

That is a nice wheel. +10hp on the butt-dyno right there.

Thanks for the info. I am rocking this right now, have one in both Alcantara and Leather but the sculpting in the lower section of the one you posted has me intrigued.

I've got the M wheel as well, but it's aging pretty fast. I figure I can ship my old Sport wheel out for re-covering and then sell the M wheel after the Sport comes all fancy-fied.
